A Look Back in Color No Less

Someone found a great color film of a drive through Central Park back in the 40s. The first part is a little hard to tell, the people’s outfits and the way they cross the road after the cards pass is a nice hint. The main one comes when the tall skyscrapers of the day come into play. Enjoy.

Bubble Wrap, Still with Us

Ever wonder who in the heck came up with all those cushy plastic bubble that prevent damage in tossed around package? Well wonder no more the history is in the article here. I wonder if they wrapped us lots of it if we would just bounce, no need for chute.

Ice Cream is a Food Group, Vanilla Today

I have always believed that ice cream is a food group, yes food group. And while vanilla ice cream is not in my favorite there are versions I do like, and sometimes will buy. The question is which vanilla flavor do you like most, or have even tried?

You can never add too much garlic, or eat too much ice cream.

Fast Food Day, Junk Food Day

We all are guilty of consuming various foods which are for all matter easy to get and certainly tasty in many ways. In fact some of the best often stirs debate on which place has the best. Many surveys ask where the best burger, fries, milkshakes, chilli and others. And those results are sought by all the big players in this market. So let’s celebrate the day and go out and have one or two or three of these items. And please share where and what you got.

Define value, what is Value?

A father said to his daughter “You have graduated with honors, here is a Jeep I bought many years ago. It is pretty old now. But before I give it to you, take it to the used car lot downtown and tell them I want to sell it and see how much they offer you for it.”

The daughter went to the used car lot, returned to her father and said, “They offered me $1,000 because the said it looks pretty worn out.”

The father said, now “Take it to the pawn shop.” The daughter went to the pawn shop, returned to her father and said,”The pawn shop offered only $100 because it is an old Jeep.”

The father asked his daughter to go to a Jeep club now and show them the Jeep. The daughter then took the Jeep to the club, returned and told her father,” Some people in the club offered $100,000 for it because “it’s an iconic Jeep and sought by many collectors.”

Now the father said this to his daughter, “The right place values you the right way,” If you are not valued, do not be angry, it means you are in the wrong place. Those who know your value are those who appreciate you……Never stay in a place where no one sees your value.
